The Woodland Park Zoo invites you to an after hours, adults only event, where you can sip, salsa and samba on the zoo’s picturesque North Meadow with Washington’s finest boutique wines and Coco Loco.

This new “Tasting Flight” event happens
5:30 – 8:30 p.m., Aug., 27 and includes:
-10 oz tastings from over30 wineries

The Seattle Times previews concert

The Seattle Times ran a nice preview of the Sacred Music Foundation concert I’m playing on this Sunday.
For the record, “and the Jazz Ensemble” is a generic descriptor the paper mistakenly used as Nate’s band name. Miles Davis is perhaps the only artist who should have ”and The Jazz Ensemble” appear after his name.

Sax / Flute Lessons

I love teaching and work with students of any age or skill level. Weeknight or Saturday afternoon times are available at my home studio in Issaquah for $30 per hour or $20 per half-hour. Lessons at your home can be arranged for an additional charge.

I use duet playing with every student and focus on technique, improvising, theory, sight reading, creative flexibility and the healthy use of breath and body.

Nate Brown will play bluesy, world-rhythm Christian music with his quartet for the Sacred Music Foundation.

The band plays 3 to 4 p.m. during the Southern cuisine dinner service and again during the combined performance featuring classical, gospel, jazz and more.

$50 advance tickets are required for this private house concert in Bellevue, Washington.

July 16 @ Sandpoint Amphitheatre

May 22, Chile Earthquake Benefit

Chileans of the Northwest are hosting a mega-fundraising event 3 – 10 p.m., Saturday, May 22 at Christ the King Church to help a fishermen’s community in southern Chile to recover from devastation cuased by the earthquake. The event starts off with food, folk dancing, live and silent auctions, and other activities for the whole family. Cocoloco plays 8 – 10 p.m., . $10 Donation at the door.
